About Us
Our Background
Ambition opened in 2015 in Katoomba. Having worked in similar centres in Sydney for a decade, founder and director, Steve West, was keen to provide these services to the Upper Mountains.
All our teachers are qualified, experienced, have a track record of success in tutoring, and have their working with children clearance.
Group Tutoring
The most cost effective way to give a student the personal attention they need is in a small group.
Group tutoring is capped at 5 students per class. The teacher rotates their attention, helping students individually. Students can bring in work from school, or the teacher can assess and provide work to lift key skills. Lessons are $35 per hour when booked to the end of term, and we need a minimum of 2 students to run the class.
Individual Tutoring
This is the most intensive form of tutoring and is suitable for students who are significantly behind, have learning needs, or desire the strongest possible progress! Rate is $75 per hour when booked to the end of term.
